- 1. What is the difference between bronze and brass valves/fittings, and which one should I choose for water applications?
- Bronze offers higher corrosion resistance, especially in saltwater or high pressure steam systems. Brass is more cost effective and works well for potable water, HVAC, and low pressure applications. For standard fresh water systems, brass is common; for marine, chemical, or high temperature environments, choose bronze.
- 2. Are your brass and bronze valves certified for drinking water systems?
- Yes. Our brass valves and fittings comply with lead free standards (less than 0.25% lead content). Bronze products are also available with WRAS certification upon request. Please check product specifications or contact us for a specific certification document.
- 3. Do your products use NPT, BSP, or BSPT threads? Are adapters available?
- We offer both NPT (National Pipe Thread) and BSP/BSPT (British Standard Pipe) options. Please specify your required thread standard when ordering. Thread adapters are also available to convert between NPT and BSP systems.
- 4.Are these bronze and brass valves suitable for natural gas or propane applications?
- Yes, many of our brass valves (e.g., ball valves, gas cocks) are rated for natural gas and propane. They meet UL safety standards. Bronze valves can also be used but are more common in liquid service. Always check the product marking "WOG"indicates water/oil/gas service.
- 5.What quality standards and testing do your products undergo?
- All valves and fittings are manufactured according to ASTM B62 (bronze), ASTM B16 (brass), ASME B16.15, and MSS SP 80. Each unit is hydrostatically tested (100% of rated pressure) and air tested for leakage. We also provide material test reports (MTR) upon request.
- 6.How long is the warranty, and what does it cover?
- We offer a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defects (material, casting, threading defects). It does not cover damage from improper installation, corrosion due to incompatible fluids, or normal wear. Replacements are free within the warranty period.
- 7.Can you provide custom sizes, materials (e.g., low lead brass, naval bronze), or private labeling?
- Yes, we support custom orders: non standard dimensions (up to 4"), special alloys (e.g., C83600 bronze, low lead brass), and logo/brand engraving on the body or tag. Minimum custom quantity is usually 1000 pcs. Provide your drawing or specification for a quotation.
